True Tail

There's mouse in our house
And it won't go away.
For it finds near all kinds
Of crisp crumbs on display.
On our spoons I hear booms
Of four scattering feet.
'Tween dishes it wishes
To bring back a small treat.
Likes chocolates and old Ritz
The last little tea dreg.
Half-asleep heard it creep
Then it crawled up my leg.
So for me, golly gee,
Stay away from my bed!
Are my morals so squirreled
If I do wish it dead?

  1. Thanks so much! I’m sorry I’ve been away for a bit. I was working on NaNoWriMo. But I’m back now and there’s a lot more to come!
